This book is especally dedecated to those visionaries who scarcely fathomed that the post-1974 nightmare would claim their lives and that of thousnads of others.

equally important, the book is informed adn inspired by the may/jhune upheaval which has revived the hope and optimismof the late 1960s and early 1970s which seems to promise that5 the "ballot box" might be the final arbiter which determines the new directiion of the political and economic life of Ethioipia.
